JN 11:25,26 GOSPEL. JN 11:1-45
THEME: JESUS, THE LORD OF LIFE
INTRODUCTION
The Church presents to us today the Principal Role of Jesus in Human history. The One who came to restore us from sin and death. In the first reading the Lord promised to open the graves of his people and restore them back to life. This promise is fulfilled in the person of Christ. Like the people of Israel, humanity is going thru dry bones because of sin. The Lord came to free us from the graves of pride, of Anger, hatred, malice, lust, vain glory etc. He came to give us life. In the Gospel we see Jesus as the Lord of life. The resurrection and the life. He brought Lazarus back to life. In our emptiness and sinfulness, we should turn to Jesus for restoration. We should trust him to heal us and give us the grace we need to follow him. Jesus, having freed us from sin also gave us the Holy Spirit to sanctify us and lead us to heaven. We should listen to St Paul in the second reading and submit to the Spirit of God to guide and direct us. No matter how far we have deviate from Christ, thru the power of the Holy Spirit we can regain back our lives. Let no one give up on himself because the Lord loves us and came to assist us in our struggle. Let us surrender to the Spirit of God to sanctify and lead us home to heaven. May the Lord gives us the grace of repentance unto salvation. Amen. Wishing you a fruitful Sunday.
With lots of prayers and love.
